Patrick Bertagnolli, Watford City Rough Rider Center & Community Enhancement Director, is a Montana native and graduate of Carroll College in Helena, Montana with a degree in Business Administration; and he holds senior level certification with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Prior to coming to western North Dakota in 2011 to work in the energy sector, Pat spent an accomplished 22 years with UPS—serving in multiple capacities, most notably as a multi-state Operations Manager, and Workforce Planning and Employee Relations Manager. Comprehensive and creative in his approach to HR, Pat is a strong advocate for North Dakota and the opportunities available to people of all ages. He believes that North Dakota is at its best when people and organizations accentuate “North Dakota Nice” and focus on mentoring and giving back--which in turn, creates a great experience for our workforce and their families; and a cultural dynamic that is the most effective way to draw new workers to our state. Pat is currently serving his third term as a member of the North Dakota Workforce Development Council and is a member of the Governor’s Complete Count Task Force (Census 2020). On the local level, Pat serves as Vice President for the Watford City Chamber of Commerce and is part of the McKenzie County Skills Initiative Petroleum Advisory Group. Pat and his wife Eva, happily call Watford City home.
