North Dakota’s Building Trades Unions
The North Dakota’s Building Trades Unions comprise fifteen Labor organizations involved in residential, commercial, and industrial construction working to provide partner contractors with a safe, highly skilled, well-trained workforce to meet the needs of industry through mutually collective bargained agreements. Utilizing Registered Apprenticeship Programs to train and develop new members from Apprentices to Journey Workers the Building Trades Unions are strong proponents of this proven educational method. In an apprenticeship program, apprentices will combine in-classroom construction with hands-on learning combining both elements into a hybrid system fostering career promotion in the skilled trades. When participating in a registered apprenticeship program, business, labor, and industry have a proven strategy to address the need for local, highly trained workers in North Dakota.
